John Platt, a 1981 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, received a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of New Haven, Connecticut in 1990. Prior to arriving in Boulder, John plied his trade in fine establishments in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Hawaii, and California. In his current role as ‘riffmaster’ and during his prior, 14 year tenure at Q’s Boulder as Chef/Proprietor, John has received frequent high praise from Colorado and national media. His culinary style features an emphasis on creative seafood preparations, the use of fresh organic produce, and inspired presentations.
