Children get their shot at filmmaking at BIFF

Dragons, aliens, and secret agents galore! Kids from the Boulder community dressed in costume this afternoon and had their hand at filmmaking.

Gathering all of the ideas each kid yelled out, the group leader created an elaborate movie idea with all sorts of characters and plot twists. Alas! The costume box came out! Robes, pink wigs, and star wands helped all the kids prepare for their big role.

While the children made up their lines and acted them out, they learned how to work a camera and the different parts of production. The talented crew of children included a narrator, a director, and multiple actors.

After a couple trial shots, all the kids got the hang of it and performed their hearts out. Many of the mothers eagerly taking pictures thought it was a great community event for their kids to come to.
