BIFF understands just how important kids and teens are to the future. It’s a better world when our youth can discover new passions and outlets for creativity, especially when parents can share in the experience. That’s what Youth Pavillion provides, opportunities for anyone interested in the film business to gain real knowledge from top industry leaders, along with a handful of great parent and child workshops and films to enjoy. The program is completely free for kids, teens, and their parents.

A notable highlight for this year’s pavilion is Boulder native Harrison Query, the opening night’s special guest. As a rising screen writer for Hollywood’s top production companies, he will share his experience with Hollywood’s often turbulent waters, in hopes to inspire and guide his audience. An invaluable tool to aspiring screenwriters. You won’t want to let the opportunity to learn from the best pass you by.

Interested in something for the little ones? The shorts program at this year’s pavilion combines animation, puppetry, and live action cinematography that is sure to captivate young children. The shorts programs not only entertains via awesome visuals and interactive features, it also celebrates such themes as love, friendship, and creativity. No child should miss out on this special opportunity.

Aside from zombie makeup and parent/child filmmaking workshops, the Pavillion will end on an important note with the free screening of Chasing Coral, a film that has had a lot buzz. The film that’s predicted to win many awards has an important message to share, so don’t miss a free screening of one of the most talked about films of the festival.

Whether or not your child is interested in the film industry, Youth Pavilion is an experience not to be missed. It is something that kids will enjoy and that families will enjoy doing together. It’s educational, entertaining, and free. If you would like to find out more about this event, please click the following link: Youth Pavilion!
