How To BIFF: CineCHEF

Popcorn isn’t the only snack that provides the perfect counterpart to a movie… this year marks The Boulder International Film Festival’s third annual gourmet culinary competition called CineCHEF. The best chefs in Boulder compete for your approval in a culinary experience like no other, but only one chef will come out on top and return to next year’s contest. Chefs from famed local restaurants including Oak at Fourteenth, Riffs Urban Fare, and last year’s winner head chef from the St. Julien Hotel & Spa, will all participate at this year’s CineCHEF.  They will strive to create the perfect complimentary dish to a featured film theme of their choice. This event lends itself to many facets of the festival, including wine and beer from Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Boulder Beer, Jazz and Brazilian guitar music from Bill Kopper, and of course the perfectly accompanying film Ella Brennan: Commanding the Table. This film depicts the story of a woman at the center of the New Orleans food world, who takes credit for the creation of elaborate New Orleans breakfasts and jazz brunches, all while seamlessly revolutionizing Creole cuisine. What better way to enjoy this fascinating film than with several delectable dishes from the best chefs in town? Help foster some friendly competition at CineCHEF on Friday, March 3rd at the Rembrandt Yard Art Gallery. Get your tickets here: http://archive.biff1.com/biff-2017/CineCHEF/
